On September 10, 1965, during the Indo-Pak war, Pakistan had taken Kishangarh along with the Saadewala post adjacent to Tanot. Then 13 pieces of Grenadier and B.S.F. were struggling with the enemy to save their post because they did not want Sadewala post in the possession of Pakistan army.  In fact, there is a border in Sadevala from which Pakistan first attacked the western end in 1965.

On the same day, a group of BSF had also camped near Tanot Mata Mandir, then this temple was a small temple,it was not so huge that could be seen from far away.  According to the rules, the priest lit the lamp in the temple even in the evening; At the beginning of the Aarti, a gunshot suddenly fell on the temple premises with the voice of sai sai and it did not explode.

In some time heavy bombardment had begun one and the shells were coming from Pakistan's direction. Some of these bombs also fell in the temple premises, which did not explode even once and the BSF understood that the miracle of Tanot mata started appearing. That evening around 3,000 shells were flown around the temple and the temple did not get scratched. Of these, 450 shells fell into the premises which not even a single were torn.

Later India won back their posts and this miracle of the BSF and the army became their companions. They made a permanent post there and made the temple bigger and the regular mother's aarti also started by the soldiers.

Why do tourists Tanot mata mandir

Some of the bombs that were shot in the shells of the cannon were not torn, are kept in view of tourists in the temple premises, along with a collection of photographs, which are related to the battle of 65 and 71, which you can guess. How the soldiers had conquered this hot desert. Tanot Mata aarti which is heard by the evening in the temple is done by the BSF staff.
